Alexanderr Donev

Alexanderr Donev is a Bulgarian film critic, screenwriter and producer. In 1988 he graduated the National Academy of Film and Theatre with MA. From 1990 to 1992 he was editor of the „Cinema“ magazine, published by the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers. Then he became director of publishing house „National Culture“. From 1997 to 2001, Alexander was Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors of „Sofia Film“. For a yea,r he worked as a freelance film critic, journalist and writer, then became manager of „Media Planning“ to Alexandra Groupholding LTD. From 2003 to 2004, he was Deputy Program Director and Program Chief coach of the Bulgarian National Television. Then, for three years he was Marketing consultant for “Camera” Ltd (film production company). And from 2005 till March 2009, Donev was the director of the Bulgarian Distribution Company Ltd (film distribution). Alexander Donev was Executive Director of the „National Film Centre“ for the period 2009-2010.

Alexander Donev is the co-script writer of the films JAZZTA PRASTA or WHAT ARE BULGARIAN MUSIC NOTES (2009), OUR CHILDREN (2005), CON AMORE (1990), FOUR PORTRAITS AND A MEMORY (1988), PRACTICE TEACHER (1985), and co-script writer and co-director of BORIS DELCHEV – LIFE AND DIARY (2009).
